Thank you to all of our sponsors, our golfers and those that stopped in to support our golf scramble fundraiser.
The Oregon City Schools Foundation held their first Golf Scramble Fundraiser. It was held at the Oregon City Club at Lone Oak on Beavercreek Road. Everyone had lots of fun. Golfers could purchase tools such as, string and mulligans, to help improve their game. The Bank of America sponsored a putting contest and a nice golf package was provided to Larry Peters, the winner of that event. Heffernan Insurance Brokers sponsored a chipping contest. Every participant in the chipping contest was provided a sleeve of golf balls and Brent Kitts, the winner, won a Nike Putter!
There were also prizes for the longest drive, the closest to the pin for men and women, and of course for first and second prize. The winner of the longest drive received a $30 gift certificate to the Oregon Duck Store compliments of the Oregon Ducks! A congratulations goes to Bob Stewart for that win! Chris Mills and Annette Cyphers hit their balls closest to the pin. They won a nice Nike golf shirt provided by Margo Preston – MB Designs.
Our first place team won a round of golf for four and two carts at Arrowhead Golf Club, the hidden jewel of Clackamas County. Way to go Tod Kemhus, Joe Adrian, Howard Fisher, and Bryce Fisher for taking that honor and thank you Arrowhead for providing that prize. Second place winners, Derrick Beneville, Troy Weller, Bill Weller, and Phil Young, received a round of golf for four and two carts at Charbonneau Golf Club, donated by Charbonneau Golf Club.
Jay Lee’s Auto Group provided four, exciting, hole in one prize opportunities. A hole in one on #5 would have ended with ping irons. Anyone landing a hole in one on #16 would have received $500 cash, and on #12 a GPS navigation package. A 2008 Honda Accord was offered to anyone getting a hole in one on #9! Thank you Jay Lee’s Auto Group for these generous offerings.
In addition to golf there were wonderful raffle prizes available, a silent auction with fabulous items, and the Oregon City Drug and Alcohol Free Party Parents put on a wonderful BBQ and raised some money for the all night grad party.
Besides the sponsors mentioned above we would like to thank all those who sponsored the event, donated items to the raffle or silent auction, volunteered their time, or who stopped by to support the tournament.

The Oregon City Schools Foundation (OCSF) would like to thank its many sponsors and donors for helping to achieve our greatest event yet. The Auction raised $75,000 to help the students of Oregon City.
Attendees enjoyed a number of new and fun ways to give including a "Wild Card Raffle" whose winner got to choose an Oral Auction item for his $100 ticket. The winner will be spending a week in Mexico, a $1,400 value, congratulations!
A special thank you to all of our hardworking volunteers, hundreds of hours go into making this event possible and is highly valued and greatly appreciated.
The OCSF is committed to providing enhanced educational opportunities to the students of Oregon City. The focus of technology drove the purchase of over 50 Smart Boards for Oregon City classrooms this school year. The matching grants for technology were in addition to donations to fund items like books, gym equipment, tools and many more requests as well as scholarships.
Keller Williams Realty won the Home Christmas Decorating auction item at our May 2008 auction. Ingrid Shorey and Linda met in late October to go over what she would need and what she would like to see for decorations. Over Thanksgiving weekend the decorations were put up and Linda was extremely pleased with the final product.
Thank you Ingrid from the Oregon City Schools Foundation for your generous donation.
