Back to School Night

OCSF made the return to school a little brighter by distributing over 250 backpacks to students across the Oregon City community. Packed and ready to go, each bag represented a fresh start — and one less worry for families heading into a new school year.

Teen Mentoring Program

In a new collaboration with Clackamas County, OCSF is supporting a pilot program that pairs trained high school mentors with elementary students to foster belonging and confidence. These mentors visit elementary schools twice monthly to provide academic support and encouragement through shared activities. By building these vital connections early, the program establishes a foundation for lifelong success and community engagement.

Transportation & Maintenance Celebration

On June 6th, 2025, OCSF celebrated the operations team that keeps the district running every day — bus drivers, building maintenance staff, mechanics, and IT. These are the people who make sure students get to school safely and that the lights are on when they arrive. It was all things related to the folks that get our kids to school.

Empowering Teachers

Grants

OCSF facilitated grants for first time teachers. Entering a classroom for the first time should feel like a professional milestone, not an invitation to max out a personal credit card on glue sticks and organizers. These grants empower new educators by providing the immediate funding necessary to transform empty shelves into vibrant, resource-rich learning environments. By equipping our newest teachers with the right tools from day one, we’re ensuring they can focus on their students instead of their shopping lists.

"These are the moments that remind a community what it's working toward."
